Do I need any prior medical knowledge to take a CPR class?

No prior experience is necessary. CPR classes are designed for people of all backgrounds, whether you're a healthcare professional, teacher, parent, or just someone who wants to be prepared in an emergency.

How long does a CPR certification class take?

Most CPR certification courses take between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the level of training and whether additional topics like AED use or first aid are included.

Is CPR certification the same as being trained to use an AED?

Many CPR classes include AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training as part of the curriculum. Be sure to check the course description to confirm AED training is included if that’s important to you.

How long does CPR certification last?

CPR certification typically lasts for two years. After that, a refresher or renewal course is required to maintain certification and stay up to date with the latest guidelines.
